By Kos Sclavos (Studio Tan) - Don’t ever sunburn. Studio Tan teaches and promotes this Golden Rule.
- Never go to a tanning facility that allows you to decide your own tanning time.
Studio Tan staff are Smart Tan educated and will help you with your tanning sessions. - Zero exposure does NOT equal zero risk to sunburn. Even people who avoid the sun
will be exposed at some point. - Moderate indoor tanning is the smartest way to maximise the potential benefits of
sun exposure and reduce the potential risks associated with either too much or too little sunlight. - Skin Group 1 persons should choose to have spray tans instead of tanning in
solariums or in the sun. - Moderate UV exposure is needed for good health. Vitamin D deficiency has been
strongly linked to certain cancers and autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis. - Develop a base tan by tanning moderately indoors before you expose your skin to
lengthy periods in the sun. Combined with the proper use of sunscreen outdoors, a tan helps prevent sunburn. - Never tan when your skin is tender or pink. Always wait until the tenderness totally
subsides until you go back for your next session. Always tell the tanning staff how you went the last session. They need this information to determine your session time the next time. - Always use an accelerating cream indoors, especially so your skin does not dehydrate.
Healthy hydrated skin tans better and holds onto its tan better as well. - You have a right to tan. God gave you this gift because it’s your body’s natural way to
defend itself from the harsh outdoor sun.
